Rampion 2 Wind Farm supports Cowfold & Littlehampton Harbour Festivals

The UK south coast’s flagship offshore wind project, Rampion 2, continues to progress following development consent award in April 2025 and today, Rampion 2 is proud to announce its attendance and support of two local community festivals at Littlehampton Harbour and Cowfold.

RWE’s Rampion 2 Team will be attending Cowfest, the Cowfold Village Fete being held on Saturday 11th July at Cowfold Recreation Ground, and Littlehampton Harbour Waterfront Festival being held on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August at Town Quay, Littlehampton and organised by the Littlehampton Harbour Board.

Chris Tomlinson, Stakeholder Manager for Rampion 2, said, “We are absolutely delighted to be the lead supporter of both Cowfest and the Littlehampton Harbour Waterfront Festival for the first time.  We hope you can come along to enjoy the festivities and visit our stall – we’ll have activities to help children learn about wind energy, you can pick up a free gift and even take a virtual trip to the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm to experience the view from the top of a turbine tower!”

Speaking on behalf of the Cowfest organising committee, Keith Stannard, said, “We are thrilled to have Rampion 2 as headline sponsor this year. Their support will make a real difference to what we can offer on the day and ensure that Cowfest can continue to give back to the community.”

Colin Monk, CEO of Littlehampton Harbour Board who organise the Littlehampton Harbour Waterfront Festival, said, “I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Rampion 2 for their generous support of this year’s Littlehampton Harbour Waterfront Festival, highlighting an exciting new relationship between our Harbour and the evolving energy industry offshore. With Rampion 2’s backing, we are able to deliver this fantastic event that showcases everything Littlehampton Harbour has to offer.”

We look forward to continuing to work together to support initiatives that strengthen our community, celebrate our maritime identity, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Littlehampton and beyond.”

Once built, Rampion 2 could power the equivalent of over one million homes1 and reduce carbon emissions by around 1.8 million tonnes2  per year. Put another way, Rampion 2 could generate the equivalent of around three-quarters of all the electricity demands for the whole of Sussex3 and play a key role in securing the UK’s energy supplies.

Rampion 2 is being developed by RWE, one of the UK’s most established and experienced renewable energy producers and a global leader in offshore wind. RWE is developing the project on behalf of a joint venture company which includes a Macquarie-led consortium, a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc. (a leading North American energy infrastructure company) and RWE.
